posted by: Anne B.. santa monica, ca 2009-01-15 After sinking almost $4,000 into a five year contract we are very dissatisfied for the following reasons: 1) $500 dollars went missing from our house the day the employees did the first treatment. HS sounded very horrified and made promises to do lie detector tests on their "bonded" employees etc. but did NOTHING. After contacting them several times we gave up because we couldn't prove anything. 2) our attic is now FULL of the white powder which makes us cough and gag when we go up there for storage purposes. (No one mentioned this in advance) 3) I offered to remove stuff from the garage before treatment, they said it wasn't necessary. However the white powder they used covered EVERYTHING in there and even sifted into cracks of boxes. It took a friend and I 12 hours to move everything out, vacuum, wipe down etc. and even wearing masks we were coughing for a week afterward. They did send a guy out to help with the vacuuming and he was nice. 4) We have had many recurring infestations. It is taking longer and longer for them to be able to schedule an apointment and they never show the day they say they will. 5) Once they have your initial money, you are no longer a priority. We currently have an infestation in the garage and they can't come for a MONTH. We are in year 4 of our contract, and lets face it.... they get no money from us, so why bother????????????? 6) When you try to discuss these problems with them they start out polite, but end up interrupting and getting testy. We chose ECOLA for our subterranean termites. They came to inspect quickly and the work was done two days later. I AGREE with the above poster. DON"T CHOOSE HOME SAVINGS!!!
posted by: Darla W.. playa del rey, ca 2008-09-22 This company provides a five-year warranty, HOWEVER, my condo complex is in the third year from the original treatment. I have had subsequent termite infestation that they treated last year and it has reocurred this year. THEY HAVE SCHEDULED AND WERE NO SHOW for the THIRD TIME!! I feel that this is quite UNACCEPTABLE! Find another company...Don't let HOME SAVINGS TERMITE CONTROL DO THIS TO YOU!!!!!!
