posted by: anonymous. pico rivera, ca 2010-01-09 would have liked to left someone there at allwest energy an email, but there was no link.First off...whenever someone presents an issue to me incomplete,I am aware of it immediately.Such is the 'solar prepackaged power generating systems' sold apparently by any tom, dick or harry...so obviously half-baked most of them...I have to pat myself on the back again, for maintaining a vigilant aspect of any business transaction where....someone else claims superior knowledge or expertize based on a 'licsense to operate' whether as a business or 'provider'etc etc.As anyone who has ever been unemployed now knows, when you let strangers manage any aspect of your life, if you become dependant on others....you are in for real trouble.Hear me now believe me later. Why are there so many 'do it your self' warehouse stores everywhere? because...THEY are the perfect example of the problem.Anyone living right next door to one of these places can order the same inventory(or better)for less. You the consumer are being raped by all your local businesses.None of them are fair. They are ALL pretenders. They ALL want to complicate every aspect of any issue to create an opportunity for profitability to maximize.Take this company Im talking about.(allwest )...they tell you subtlely...after your pumped by the bulk of their websites jist...'different roof mounting options " vaguely morphs into insinuation that their roof needs..'likely' modifying to accommodate the 'panels'. Or that you need(my fav) 300-450 ft of clrearance in your yard.I just had to pick myself up,after typing that one.Lmao.These clowns present to you a black and white still photo ,in an age of computer graphics.IT aint complicated.Parts are parts. Its a system anyone can build.Even a child. This is so pathetic .And whats more...now listen up ....any association giving advice to consumers should be watched very carefully.PEOPLE:watch out for those who claim to be looking out, for you.Read that one over and over again. If anyone happens to read this....IF YOU want a solar power plant...go buy one.Research all the components for quality and longevity(interview the manufacturers etc) whatever it takes. This is it.No more electric bill....comes at a price. But it aint a high price. No where near it my friends.I'm thinking twenty years ahead.Make my own power.Pay 25% on the dollar most, will cave in to others providing it to them. You get in the habit of paying a bill.It becomes like waking up in the morning.Like slavery.Generations...born into captivity. They know nothing else. But in parting...on the other hand...the combination(recently) of oil price spikes and economic and social turmoil..may suggest..a concerted plan...to lure investment into the industry to fatten-up, some truly bloated cats that can pull on these strings at will.I'm on the fence in this area...so...I will not buy large.A little this...a little that.Small system with highest quality.Wind power generation in parallel and battery storage as well as compressed air from excess daily panel output.Another strategy(many ways) if wind is generated regularly at night where you live ,multiple small turbines(300..500 bucks each) can generate(and that electricity can be stored in your batteries for use in the day time...say...to keep your deep freezer running) while you are at work.If you combine technologies(like a doctors response to someone asking what should they eat to maintain, or to stay healthy: Balance.Moderation.A little solar.A little wind. Its free. The system aint.but the net will give you so much fish...how can you go out in a fishing boat with one pole...when that same boat with a net.. can regularly .bring in the equivalent fish, that a thousand poles would? And lastly...never ...EVER buy into a system ,that send s YOUR POWER(and therefore YOUR PERSONAL INVESTMENT in your system) away from your battery-power-storage bank and into the arms of the utility company down the street, that will mark that power up and sell it.I hear people brag about that all the time....'my meter goes backward'...yeah.Somethings backward alright.
