Whole House Ventilation
Heat and Energy Recovery ventilators will both exhaust air out of the house and draw fresh air into the house, whole also transferring the heat and or moisture from one airstream to the other. Heat Recovery Ventilators are generally recommended for colder climates with longer heating seasons. Energy Recovery Ventilators are used for more humid climates with long cooling seasons. The target ventilation rate for Heat and Energy Recovery Ventilators is 0.35 air changes per hour.
