Ratings and Reviews for Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC): Radiant / Hydronic Heating Systems

WattsRadiant Floor Heating and Snowmelting

WattsRadiant radiant heat systems warm homes, businesses, warehouses, garages, and even airplane hangars. Our hydronic tubing is easily installed in new construction and retrofitted into existing structures. Premium Onix™ tube or RadiantPEX™ cross-linked polyethylene pex tubing can be installed above or below subfloors in Staple-ups™, slabs, thin slabs, or sandwiched between subfloors. For ease of installation our innovative SubRay™ radiant heat system provides your installer with even more options and flexibility.

WattsRadiant also makes systems designed for melting snow outdoors. Their systems melt snow and ice by circulating glycol solution fluids through tubing embedded in concrete, or beneath brick pavers. Watts Radiant's two options in tubing material, Onix (with an aluminum oxygen barrier) and RadiantPEX (with an EVOH oxygen barrier), are engineered for the demands of snow melt systems.

Radiant Floor Company

Some people may prefer the bracing effects of bare feet on cold tile instead of morning coffee for a quick wake up, but most of us would rather start our day on a warm, radiantly heated floor. Radiant Floor Company of Vermont builds and designs radiant heating systems especially for do-it-yourselfers and small contractors. As a result, they have engineered their systems to be straightforward, easy to understand, efficient, and effective. This design service is free and includes a Zone Calculation Worksheet that includes heat loss calculations for each zone; pump types and sizes, tube spacing, circuit lengths and the full list of components included in each customer’s specific system. In addition, a 37 page Design and Installation Manual, written in non-technical language is available free of charge. Section one of the manual offers the customer an easy to understand overview of radiant heat, section two provides hands-on methods and techniques for installing a first rate radiant system. A highly trained technical support team, available 66 hours a week to answer any questions or issues, rounds out the package.
