Blu | Origin designs are fun, small getaways designed to be used as a primary home, forest or lakeside retreat, back yard office, guest house, granny flat, artist gallery/studio, or many other uses. Our Origin line was designed with a focus on natural ventilation and lighting, along with a lot of indoor / outdoor interaction space for decks, trellis’, and nooks for gardening. In addition, this line has four options for roofline – from very modern to more traditional. The design includes an open kitchen / living floor plan, cathedral ceilings in the living areas, recessed can fluorescent lighting, and Kohler® fixtures throughout. The home uses a variety of green and energy efficient products including Paperstone® (or similar) countertops, low-water use toilets, energy efficient foam insulation, and a home energy management system – all provided in the base price from Blu Homes.

Blu | Balance designs are healthy, family homes designed to feel spacious and comfortable in urban areas, as well as out in nature. The Balance | 2BDR+ is the larger of the two Balance designs. It is a spacious two bedroom home with additional office space ideal for working from home, or use as a private space for art, yoga, a library, den, etc.. The home was designed with a focus on natural ventilation and lighting, with beautiful clerestory windows in the ceiling, optimized for your location. In addition, the home has an open kitchen / living floor plan, cathedral ceilings in the living areas and two bedrooms, recessed can fluorescent lighting, and Kohler fixtures throughout. The home uses a variety of green and energy efficient products including Paperstone (or similar) countertops, low-water use toilets, energy efficient foam insulation, and a home energy management system – all provided in the base price from Blu Homes.

Blu | Retreats are spacious family homes designed for comfortable functionality – a “retreat” in your own home. The Blu | Retreat line was designed to provide a simple and spacious lifestyle for your family, whether as a primary home or as a weekend getaway space. It includes an open plan indoor family room and dining room, and expansive outdoor living areas. The interior includes cathedral ceilings in the living areas, recessed can fluorescent lighting, and Kohler fixtures throughout. The home uses a variety of green and energy efficient products including Paperstone® (or similar) countertops, low-water use toilets, energy efficient foam insulation, and a home energy management system – all provided in the base price from Blu Homes.

Blu | Flex designs are a series of "add ons" that allow you to enhance your existing home. Our first "Flex" products are both functional and fun. The Blu | Media unit is one of our first “Flex” products. It is a media room designed for leisure and fun, as well as enjoyment of the outdoors through a substantial roof deck. The design’s amenities include options for one, two or three rows of viewing chairs, installed bar area, pool table game room, roof deck, and more. The substantial roof deck provides a connection with nature, and creates an added use for activities like growing plants outdoors. There are a variety of orientations and room designs that can be seen in the images included. In addition, just like our homes, the Flex | Media room uses a variety of green and energy efficient products including Paperstone® (or similar) countertops, low-water use toilets, energy efficient foam insulation, and an energy management system – all provided in the base price from Blu Homes.
