Sleek, modern furniture designs continue to emanate from Western Michigan, long recognized as the office furniture capital of the world. Knú continues this design tradition with a new line of sustainable, contemporary home office furniture. Knú furniture is available in your choice of 6 eco-friendly veneers including desks, bookcases, entertainment centers, lateral files, side tables and privacy screens. Knú uses FSC-certified, sustainably harvested birch whenever possible and also uses FSC-certified natural veneers or SGS-certified engineered poplar veneers. All Knú pieces are finished with an eco-friendly catalyzed varnish and proprietary hardware consists of 40% recycled steel on average. We buy local, 90% of our suppliers are within a 50-mile radius. Knú has been carbon neutral since January, 2007. All carbon emissions from executive air travel and vehicle use, as well as all electricity and natural gas used in manufacturing are offset using Green-e certified renewable energy credits. Knú has also made a commitment to our nation’s national forests; we will plant a tree for every piece of furniture we sell. All Knú furniture is designed to be shipped via UPS directly from the factory to you, greatly reducing the environmental footprint of logistics. All packaging is fully recyclable. Knú’s customers are computer literate and online, so mailing a catalog is a waste of our collective resources. Creation, delivery and disposal of catalogs all negatively impact the environment; you will not receive junk mail from Knú.

Knú Desk #2 is a compact workstation all unto itself. At 48”L x 35"H x 29"W, this little guy is really well thought out. The cubbies are very useful, one for envelopes, the next for your laptop (up to 17”) with a wire management grommet inside the cubby, and two more cubbies that can hold file folders, paper or CD’s etc. On top is a shelf large enough for a phone, large monitor and a printer! Medium weight and very solid, you have the finish choices to make Knú Desk #2 at home in your space. The wood components are made from FSC-certified 25 mm and 19mm thick birch multi-ply substrate with your choice of 6 eco-friendly veneer choices, and finished with an extremely tough, environmentally-friendly catalyzed varnish in a carbon neutral facility. The legs are custom made using 1 ¼” diameter 12 gauge tubular steel and then powder coated with an aluminum finish. Each leg has a nickel plated leveler, so this desk only rocks when you do. Desk #2 also comes with a handy pencil drawer made from recyclable injection molded plastic and steel ball bearing drawer slides. Pull this out of the box and attach the four legs with 16 machine screws using the accompanying Allen wrench we provide (super easy) and you are ready to get organized. Knú Desk #3 is big - 66"L x 36"W x 29"H – and that lets you work the way you want to, spread out and free form with room to store files and all your stuff. The wood components are made from FSC-certified 25 mm thick birch multi-ply substrate with your choice of 6 eco-friendly veneers, and then finished with an extremely tough, environmentally-friendly catalyzed varnish in a carbon neutral facility. The legs are 1 ¼” diameter 12 gauge tubular steel, powder coated with an aluminum finish. Each leg has a nickel plated leveler, so you can level out the bumps. The hanging box/file pod features a wood pencil and a file drawer for either letter or legal size files. Both drawers are suspended with steel ball bearing drawer slides. Pull this out of the box and attach the four legs with 16 machine screws, then attach the hanging box/file with 6 screws (we supply the Allen wrench, totally easy) and you are ready to get down to business. Each leg has nickel plated leveler, because one needs a level surface to take off from. This desk also comes with a handy pencil drawer made from recyclable injection molded plastic and steel ball bearing drawer slides. This table is built in a carbon neutral facility using FSC-certified 25 mm thick birch multi-ply substrate with your choice of 6 eco-friendly veneer choices and finished with an extremely tough, environmentally friendly catalyzed varnish. The legs are custom made using 1 ¼” diameter 12 gauge tubular steel and then powder coated with an aluminum finish. Each leg has a nickel plated leveler, so this table will never rock until you do.
